Five fits. Your move.
Compare Pro Caps
All five Pro lines can be worn across sports. Choose the crown and brim you enjoy, then compare the features that matter to your routine.
Start with the fit, not the sport label
A running cap can work on a padel court; a flat-brim cap can work on a run. Your preferred silhouette, comfort during movement and care routine are more useful starting points than a strict sport-by-sport label. Aero and Focus are particularly relevant to running, while Flow, Motion and Pulse offer familiar shapes that also suit tennis, golf and everyday outfits.
All five Pro lines share the confirmed 55–61 cm head-circumference range. That does not make their fit identical: a soft low-profile crown and a raised structured front can feel very different on the same head. Measure first, then use front, side and worn photographs to compare the shape.
The differences that matter
| Line | Shape & brim | Water-repellent | Inner pocket |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flow | Raised A-frame front; curved brim | Yes | Yes |
| Motion | More angular profile; flat-brim look | Yes | Yes |
| Pulse | Classic baseball silhouette; curved brim | Yes | Yes |
| Aero | Soft, low-profile crown; foldable brim | No | No |
| Focus | Technical profile; curved performance brim | No | No |
Compare the weight
| Pro line | Weight |
|---|---|
| Aero | 69 g |
| Focus | 80 g |
| Flow | 87 g |
| Motion | 87 g |
| Pulse | 87 g |
Aero is the lightest at 69 g. Focus weighs 80 g; Flow, Motion and Pulse each weigh 87 g. Compare weight alongside crown structure, brim shape and how the cap feels when you move.

Blackskies selection
Flow: a more pronounced front
55–61 cm · 87 g
Start with Flow if you like a raised A-frame front and a curved brim. The defined shape gives it a different presence from Aero’s softer construction. It can work for training and casual wear without switching to a different visual style.
Flow has the water-repellent finish and inner pocket shared with Motion and Pulse. Choose it because the crown suits you; a taller front is a style and fit choice, not proof that the cap fits a larger head.

Motion: the flat-brim direction
55–61 cm · 87 g
Motion is the starting point when a flat-brim silhouette is part of your everyday look. Taupe offers a restrained colour option that can move between sportswear and casual clothing.
You can wear Motion for running, padel, tennis or golf. When trying it on, check the view under the brim as you look up and down; do not choose a different line only because someone associates flat brims with streetwear.

Pulse: the familiar baseball profile
55–61 cm · 87 g
Pulse combines a classic baseball outline with a curved visor. It is a sensible comparison point if you already know you like that shape and want a cap for several activities.
Compared with Flow, focus on how the front and crown sit rather than expecting a different circumference range. Compared with Motion, the most obvious visual difference is the curved-brim direction.

Aero: soft and packable
55–61 cm · 69 g
Aero’s soft low-profile crown and foldable brim suit people who want a flexible cap for running and travel. The Graphite Flow model uses lightweight polyester and an understated colour palette.
The ability to pack the brim is specific to this construction. Do not assume that the structured brims of other Pro lines should be folded in the same way. Aero has no water-repellent finish or inner pocket.

Focus: a technical running look
55–61 cm · 80 g
Focus combines a curved performance brim, laser-cut ventilation, an adjustable strap and a reinforced sweatband. Compare it with Aero if you want an athletic look but prefer this brim and adjustment arrangement.
Focus is also suitable for other sports. Its reflective details are design features, not a substitute for dedicated visibility equipment. Like Aero, it is not water-repellent and has no inner pocket.

Easy care after sport
Blackskies founder Sören has worn Flow, Motion, Pulse and Aero for sport. His routine is straightforward: rinse the cap thoroughly inside and out with water, then leave it to air dry. In his experience, this has been enough after his sessions and the caps have been ready to wear again the following day. This is personal experience with those four lines, not a measured drying-time promise or a test of Focus.
Water repellency and ease of cleaning are different questions. Aero can be easy to rinse even though it is not water-repellent. Follow the model’s care label and allow the sweatband to dry fully before storage. See the care guide for the full routine.
Which Pro cap is best for running?
Begin by comparing Aero and Focus: Aero has a softer, packable construction, while Focus offers a curved performance brim and strap adjustment. Flow, Motion and Pulse are also suitable if you prefer their shapes. The best choice is the one that stays comfortable on your head while moving; the name alone cannot establish that.
Are all Blackskies Pro caps water-repellent?
No. Flow, Motion and Pulse are water-repellent. Aero and Focus are not. Water-repellent also does not mean waterproof: do not treat a cap as guaranteed protection from prolonged rain.
Does the shared 55–61 cm range mean they sit the same?
No. Circumference is only one part of fit. Crown height, structure, brim and closure affect where the cap sits and how it feels. A cap that presses or sits too high may need a different shape rather than a tighter closure.
Should I choose a different line for every sport?
Usually your own fit preferences give you a more useful starting point. All Pro lines are intended for use across sports. Adjust your choice for the conditions and movements of the activity, but you do not need a separate line simply because you switch from running to tennis.
