Golf Cap Guide
For golf, choose a cap you enjoy wearing for a whole round. Compare pressure, brim shape and your preferred look in both address position and everyday wear.
Start with comfort over time
Try the cap long enough to notice pressure at the forehead or sides. A small annoyance during a quick fitting can become distracting when you wear it for hours. Adjust within the 55–61 cm range and compare another crown shape if the fit still feels wrong.
Check the brim at address
Look down as you would when addressing the ball, then look towards a target. Choose a brim and position that feel natural through both movements. There is no need to force a curved or flat-brim style simply because it looks right on someone else.

For a flat-brim look
Motion is the alternative for someone who prefers a more angular, flat-brim style. It can be worn for golf; check the sightline at address rather than treating the look as a performance rule.
Explore Pro MotionPlan for the conditions
Flow, Motion and Pulse are water-repellent; Aero and Focus are not. Water repellency can be a useful preference for light surface moisture, but it is not a waterproof guarantee for a full wet round. Consider the day’s conditions and the rest of your clothing as well as the cap.
After your session
Keep your post-round routine simple. At Blackskies, we rinse Flow, Motion, Pulse and Aero thoroughly inside and out with clean water after sport, then leave them to air dry. Easy to clean, quick to dry and ready for your next active day.
Let the water drain, gently blot excess moisture and leave the cap in its normal shape in a ventilated spot. Allow the sweatband to dry fully before packing the cap for your next round.
Can I wear a flat-brim cap for golf?
Yes, if it is comfortable and works with your preferred sightline. Motion is the flat-brim direction in the Pro range. Check any clothing requirements of the venue separately; the cap’s shape alone does not tell you its dress-code status.
Is a golf cap different from a running cap?
The labels suggest use, but they do not automatically establish a different construction. All Pro lines can be used across sports. For golf you may prioritise prolonged comfort and your preferred everyday silhouette; for running, you may give more attention to soft construction or packability.
Which Pro lines have an inner pocket?
Flow, Motion and Pulse have an inner pocket; Aero and Focus do not. Do not overload it or use it in a way that changes the cap’s comfortable fit. Choose the line for its overall shape and features rather than treating storage as the only criterion.
What if my head is outside the Pro size range?
The confirmed range is 55–61 cm. Do not rely on forcing the closure or stretching the cap to fit outside that range. Check the size guide and contact us with your measurement and the model you are considering.
