Your session. Your rhythm.
Gym & Fitness Cap Guide
Choose a gym cap that feels right through strength work, machines and cardio. Start with the way you train, then compare crown shape, brim and adjustment.
Fit it around your actual workout
A cap that feels good standing in front of a mirror should also feel good through your training positions. Try it with your normal headphones, look down as you set up an exercise and turn your head. Notice whether the brim touches your equipment or the closure presses when your head rests against a bench. Change the cap position or take it off for an exercise if it gets in the way.
The aim is a familiar fit that needs little attention. Adjust the closure gradually rather than tightening it until the forehead feels compressed. All Pro lines cover 55–61 cm, but their crowns sit differently.
Find your Pro fit
From the weights area to cardio
For a session that combines lifting and cardio, compare how the cap feels during both. A structured front gives a defined outline; a softer crown follows your head more closely. Neither shape is a requirement for training. Check the space around your ears and the feel of the sweatband before deciding.
Wear the cap for more than a quick fitting. Repeated adjustments, pressure at the temples or a brim that keeps entering your view are useful signs to reassess the shape. Choose your favourite silhouette only after it passes that comfort check.
Build a simple kit routine
Pack your cap where the crown will not be crushed by shoes or heavy equipment. Aero has a foldable brim; do not apply that folding habit to a structured Flow, Motion or Pulse brim. At the end of training, give the sweatband room to dry rather than closing the cap inside a damp gym bag.
If you alternate indoor training with outdoor sessions, choose features for the whole routine. Water repellency on Flow, Motion and Pulse concerns the outer finish; it does not mean the sweatband stays dry during a workout.
Blackskies Pro
Three fits to compare
Start with the construction you prefer, then explore the colours in each Pro collection.

Pro Flow
For a defined training look
55–61 cm
Flow pairs a raised A-frame front with a curved brim. Sandstorm is shown in our gym imagery. Choose this shape if you like a structured cap that works with both training clothes and everyday outfits; check how the crown feels with your headphones.

Pro Motion
For a flat-brim silhouette
55–61 cm
Motion brings a more angular, flat-brim look. Compare the brim clearance during your usual exercises and the feel of the closure against a bench. It is a style choice within the Pro range, with water repellency and an inner pocket.

Pro Focus
For a technical curved profile
55–61 cm
Focus offers a curved performance brim, laser-cut ventilation, strap adjustment and a reinforced sweatband. Compare its fit with Flow if you prefer a more technical appearance. Focus has no water-repellent finish or inner pocket.

Follow the care label for your model. At Blackskies, our post-sport routine for Flow, Motion, Pulse and Aero is to rinse the cap with clean water and leave it to air dry. Let the sweatband dry completely before storage, support the cap’s normal shape and avoid direct heat.
For Focus and for other materials, check the model-specific guidance rather than assuming the same routine applies. Our cap care guide explains the differences across Pro, Originals and Family.
Do I need a different cap for weights and cardio?
Not necessarily. Try the cap in the positions and movements you actually use. One well-fitting shape may cover your whole session; remove it whenever it interferes with comfort or equipment.
Should I wear my gym cap backwards?
Choose the position that works with the exercise and your equipment. Check whether the closure or brim creates a pressure point. Turning a cap around does not fix an unsuitable size or crown shape.
Which Pro cap has a softer construction?
Aero is the soft, low-profile option with a foldable brim. It is worth comparing if you find structured crowns too prominent. Fit and feel still need to suit your own head.
How do I choose the right size?
Measure your head circumference and compare it with the Pro range of 55–61 cm. Then check crown depth, brim position and pressure around the forehead. Use the size guide before ordering, particularly if your measurement falls outside the range.
