An everyday original.
Baseball Cap Guide
A curved visor, an easy silhouette and endless ways to wear it. Get to know the baseball cap through crown shape, fabric and fit.
From the field to everyday wear
The baseball cap began as sporting headwear and became an everyday staple. Today, the name covers a broad family of caps with a crown and forward-facing visor. In everyday shopping, it often suggests a familiar curved-brim shape that works just as easily with a T-shirt as with a jacket.
There is no single construction behind every baseball cap. A classic six-panel crown is common, but the category also includes different panel layouts, closures and levels of structure. The shape shown in the photographs tells you more than the name alone.
Crown structure makes the difference
A structured front holds its form and gives a logo or patch a defined backdrop. An unstructured crown is softer and follows the head more closely. Both can have a curved visor. A relaxed, low-profile baseball cap is often called a dad cap, but not every curved-brim model belongs to that smaller group.
Look at a worn side view: how high does the crown rise, and how close does the fabric sit around the temples? Then check the front view for width. Two caps with the same adjustment range can create very different proportions.

Blackskies selection
Iuno: clean lines, small detail
56–61 cm
Iuno combines black cotton, a curved visor and a small embroidered cloud. A centre seam runs up the front, keeping the familiar panelled baseball silhouette visible. The restrained artwork makes it easy to wear with casual layers without competing with the rest of your outfit.
The black colour makes shape and embroidery the main details. Check Iuno’s individual 56–61 cm range; it differs from the range of the Crimson Cord model below.

Crimson Cord: colour with texture
54–60 cm
Crimson Cord pairs a curved visor with wine-red cotton corduroy and a woven front patch. The ribbed fabric brings depth to the colour, giving the cap a different feel from smooth cotton even before you compare the artwork.
Try it with denim, knitwear or a plain overshirt. The material provides its own detail, so the rest of the outfit can stay simple. Compare it with Crimson Cord Snapback if you like the fabric but prefer a flatter visor.

Explore this cap →Choose the closure separately from the shape
Baseball caps can use a fabric strap and buckle, plastic snaps, a stretch fit or a fixed fitted size. A snap closure does not automatically mean a flat visor. Check the back photograph and the product’s adjustment range rather than guessing from the front.
Measure where you normally wear the lower edge. Adjust until the cap stays in place without pressure, then turn and tilt your head. If it presses at the sides despite a comfortable circumference, another crown shape may feel better.
Everyday style or a cap for training?
Iuno and Crimson Cord are cotton Originals chosen for their everyday look and fabric. For regular training, explore the Pro range and compare ventilation, weight and easy after-sport care as well as the silhouette.
Pulse brings a familiar curved-brim baseball direction to Pro. Flow has a more pronounced A-frame front, while Motion offers a flatter visor. Choosing a sports cap does not mean giving up the shape you like.
Does a baseball cap always have a curved visor?
No. Baseball headwear includes flat visors too, particularly fitted and classic snapback styles. A curved visor is a familiar everyday interpretation, not a universal rule.
What is the difference between a baseball cap and a trucker cap?
Trucker describes mesh back panels. A cap can have a baseball silhouette and a mesh back, so the categories can overlap. Compare the front shape and rear material separately.
How should I clean a cotton baseball cap?
Follow its care label and start with gentle spot cleaning. Support the crown, treat embroidery carefully and use a light touch on corduroy. Let it air dry in its normal shape and keep it away from direct heat.
