What is in a Blackskies Family set?
Each Family set combines one adult Originals cap and one kids cap. You select M or L for the child; the adult cap keeps the size range of its own model. Matching describes the design, not identical dimensions.
A father-and-son, mother-and-daughter or any other adult–child combination follows the same sizing principle. Choose the design both wearers enjoy and make sure each cap fits. Gender or relationship labels do not establish the right size.

Essentials: an actual matching pair
Originals 54–60 cm + Kids M or L
The light blue and brown Essentials set pairs the same colour story and faux-suede brim across adult and kids versions. It is a real set in the Blackskies catalogue, rather than two unrelated caps shown together.
For the adult + kids L combination, the individual caps are BS-CAP-215 and BS-CAP-215-L. The set variant is BS-CAP-SET-215-L. Select M instead when the child’s measurement calls for the 45–49 cm range.

Buying a set as a gift
A matching set can suit a family birthday, a shared trip or a parent-focused occasion. Confirm measurements before ordering, especially if the recipient is a child you do not see often. Do not estimate size solely from age or choose a larger cap simply to create growing room.
If you cannot confirm the child’s size, ask someone close to the family for a current measurement. If one person dislikes the shared design, two independently chosen caps may be a more thoughtful gift than forcing a matching set.
Can you add another child or adult?
Check the individual product listings for matching designs and current availability. Some looks have separate adult and kids products, including the Essentials example here. Do not assume every set can be expanded in every size or colour.
For a larger group, write down each person’s measurement and chosen variant before ordering. A set’s kids M/L selector applies to that child’s cap; it does not change the adult range or automatically add more caps.
Care for both caps separately
The set format does not add a shared protective coating. Follow the fabric and care label of each cap, spot clean gently and pay attention to the sweatbands. Let both caps air dry fully and store them without crushing one inside the other.
The adult and child can wear the same look while needing cleaning at different times. Treat each cap according to its condition rather than washing both automatically as a pair.
Are Family sets only for fathers and sons?
No. Choose by design, adult and child measurements, and personal preference. The set can be worn by any adult–child pairing whose sizes suit the product.
Does selecting L change both caps?
No. The M/L selection refers to the kids cap. The adult Originals cap keeps its own model-specific range. Check the variant label and measurements on the set page before ordering.
Can I buy just the matching kids cap?
Yes, when that design is offered individually. The Essentials example has separate adult and kids listings as well as a set product. Check the selected size and current availability on the relevant product page.
What if the adult fits but the child does not?
The set still needs to fit both people. Do not force the child into a size outside the guidance just to keep the shared design. Compare another available size or choose separate caps. Contact us with both measurements if you need help.
